Celeste “blames” her mother, Rhonda, her first piano teacher. Piano lessons began at age six, and she teases that if she wanted dinner, teacher-approved piano practice was a pre-requisite at least four days a week. Piano lessons continued under Elise Tuttle (USU Eastern) and others at Weber State University. The piano has since become a love and an escape from the world. She now works at Dustless Technologies, enjoys teaching piano students and delights in accompanying various groups. Celeste’s favorites are treasured time with her son, “doodling” on the piano, hiking, card games and family time at Lake Powell.
Rhonda learned to play the piano “early-on” playing and performing double piano duets with her twin sister, Denae. She studied under Robb Carr (U of U) for a season and Scott Gentry (BYU) for a semester while earning a Music Minor. She has taught a number of piano students over the years both in Wellington and Vernal, including each of her four children. Rhonda’s favorite places include boating at Lake Powell with family, anyplace with her grandchildren (from treehouses to sandcastles), attempting gourmet meals in the kitchen and playing to her heart's content at the piano.
Holly has been playing the piano since she was seven years old and learned primarily from her mom, Rhonda. Holly has played in many roles for her church and takes delight in playing the piano in general. Holly is the Household Manager and Director of Child Development at the Jarrett Household. She loves being with her husband, Aaron, and truly enjoys watching and helping their three children, ages seven, four, and two grow. She likes hiking, playing at Lake Powell, and tries to find time to sneak in reading when she can.
Shantay has had a love of music from a very young age. One of her mom's favorite stories to tell people is that when she would be riding her bike around the neighborhood her mom never had to worry about where she was because she would be singing at the top of her lungs most of the time. Shantay started taking piano lessons when she was 7 years old and never looked back. She loves being able to share her love of music with others and has had many opportunities to do so through church, singing in choirs, and accompanying choirs, soloists, small ensembles, and for theater performances. She has also taught piano lessons and had opportunities to play for weddings, receptions, and other events. Shantay’s favorite composers are Tchaikovsky, Grieg, and Beethoven but her favorite genre to play is probably jazz – “way too many songs I like to pick a favorite jazz composer”.
